What Is Life Like Across the Rainbow Bridge for Our Departed Pets?

Have you ever found yourself wondering what life is like for your deceased pet across the Rainbow Bridge?

Many of you have heard of the Native American legend that when you die, you go to the rainbow bridge and every animal you have had intercourse with will be on the other side and they will decide whether you are allowed to enter or not.

Native Americans revered animals and whenever they killed one, they always held a prayer ceremony and used every part of the animal for survival. Nothing was wasted and they often took the name or thought the animal was part of them.

In today’s world we love our pets for their sweet personality and devotion. When one of our pets dies, a part of us goes with them. Although we may not see or experience the soul life, as long as we have a soul animal, we are connected to the rainbow life in the soul.

Everything I talk about I have personally experienced. So sometimes I give names to things that may not be what others call them, but again it comes from what I have seen or experienced. I learned decades ago how to astral project and often go into spirit. I go to visit and see my beloved people and animals and to visit my beloved clients.

Everything I present here comes from my experiences communicating with dead pets, including my own, and from my journeys into the spirit world.

Our beloved animals and people inhabit a space where they are able to interact with each other and at the same time are able to observe and visit us.

The best way to describe the other side “Heaven” or “beyond the Rainbow Bridge” is to imagine it as a world without life or death.

All animals live in peace and harmony with each other. It’s like the saying in the Bible about the lamb lying down with the lion. There is no fighting as there is perfect peace. They are provided with everything they need by their special guardian angels. They have their own special little places to be. They are not required to do anything but enjoy their spiritual life. The vibration in the spirit world is so intense that you see objects vibrating with colors beyond our dimension.

Your pet is there having a great time and is young and healthy again.

They visit you often and their love for you will never die. They know you love them and they see you mourning and crying for them. When they really want you to see what a great place they are. If you could see it through their eyes, you would cry for joy. Talk to your pet and ask them to tell you where they are. You may see this in a dream, but believe that the spirit world is allowing you to see the beauty of life over the rainbow bridge.

While it may seem far away, it really seems to be right here, just vibrating at a different frequency.

Many people have experienced being in this other world by dying and being able to come back. There are countless experiences that have been documented through medical and other means.

Throughout my life, my closest relationships have been with animals. I was always able to communicate with them and they with me. As my spiritual gifts developed, I realized that I was able to communicate with the deceased. I first began to communicate professionally with departed loved ones. I then began to communicate with the departed pets and found that this was more natural and easier for me.

One of the first sewers I did for someone was for their rabbit that had passed. I was amazed at how much the little rabbit communicated and how happy it made his human parent to know they were well cared for in the spirit world.

For the next few months I would connect with animals that had died, I discovered that living animals can also communicate telepathically.

Animals that have died are able to interact with our other animals that have died as well as our loved ones in spirit. It doesn’t matter if they’ve never met in person.

Three years ago my beloved cat Isis died and I went with her in spirit and we stood at the entrance to the Rainbow Bridge. On the other hand I could see my father holding my little dog Julia that he had loved so much. Isis had never met my father, but when she saw him, she ran to him across the bridge and jumped on his other arm. All three stood on the other side of the bridge looking at me as if to say we will be here when your time comes.

Animals that remain physically with us are able to see and interact with those who have passed on, however they will still mourn the loss of physical presence even though they may connect with the spirit of the departed animal.

A dear friend of mine had one of her cats die and she wanted to know if her other cats could still see her. I asked her cat Roscoe if she missed her other cat Frankie. Roscoe replied, “No because I still see him and talk to him.”

Some of the most common questions I get are as follows:

Can my pets that are still here see my pets that have passed?

The answer is: Yes

Can my pet come back to me through reincarnation and spend another life with me?

Usually the answer is no, it seems that our loved ones from the past want to stay in spirit until we are able to join them. This allows everything to come full circle so that closure can be done by all parties involved. Animals are the pure essence of love and have no karmic debt to repay. They usually do not return and if they do we may not contact them. Many people will say they are positive their current pet is a previous reincarnation. It is usually the deceased animal that communicates to the new animal what it remembers and what we, their parents, like and know.

However, many times our past pets will influence the behaviors of our new pets or the ones they left behind and we can catch little bits of their personality. In other words, it is possible for a new animal to channel the behaviors of a past animal.

I am often asked if animals that have passed on will be jealous of any new animals brought into the home.

Not at all. What I hear is that your estranged pets are happy when you are happy and don’t want to deny another animal the joy of living with you. This is especially true with animals that have been adopted from shelters and rescued from bad situations.

Animals that have passed are able to see, hear and feel anything and everything we pass.

I am often asked “Is my pet still in pain?” and as they leave the physical body behind, the soul is without pain. However, they may experience emotional pain when they see our unhappiness over their passing. The more comfortable we are with their death, the easier it is for them to be around us in spirit.

Many people I talk to feel responsible for the death of their pet. This is not true. If you’ve taken your pet to the vet for health problems and the vet tells you the pet needs surgery or some other treatment, you’re choosing what’s right for now. If your pet goes through the procedure, they won’t be angry or hold it against you because you acted in good faith and were doing what you thought was right to prolong their life. What is really important is what the purpose was.

Sometimes people ask me if moving them out of their familiar home will cause them to stay behind in the old home or will they get lost trying to find your new home?

Once an animal passes, they are as mobile as they want to be and can travel great distances with little or no effort. Connecting with you in your new home is not a challenge for them. They will not stay behind in your old house.

Euthanasia is often difficult for a pet parent. No one wants to lose a loved one, but if your pet is suffering, the right thing to do is to let them go. Don’t feel guilty if you have to put your pet to sleep. You have allowed them to be free again! They are their healthy youngsters at heart and will thank you for sending them for free. Don’t feel guilty.

Life beyond the Rainbow Bridge is beautiful and heavenly. It’s part of the sky/soul and there’s no way your pet won’t be happy in this wonderful environment. Remember they will be there to greet you when you pass. They will never forget you because you were the love of their life.
