Safaris and chimpanzee tracking tours are conducted in Uganda’s Kibale Forest National Park. Tracking the chimpanzee that is our ‘cousin’ is an unforgettable experience. The way they feed, climb trees, respond to humans, care for their young, is just phenomenal. The forest has three groups of chimpanzees which are common and only six people are allowed in the morning and evening. Kibale has over 1,450 chimpanzees representing Uganda’s largest population of this endangered primate.
The custom experience in Uganda includes the chimpanzee custom. This includes watching chimpanzees go about their daily activities, accustoming them to human presence without portraying their natural behavior. See chimpanzees de-nesting (emerging from their nocturnal nests) between 05.30-06.30 before following them during the day until they create new nests and retire for the night at around 7pm.
