Matterless Universe of Which Our Universe is a Tiny Part

There are some growing and accumulating claims that there is another world out there, which is not material, but until now, it has remained scientifically unknown to us. There is also accumulating evidence that such a world definitely exists despite the fact that its true essence has yet to be discovered. For example, there is evidence of the existence of what is labeled “dark energy” as well as “dark matter” with infinite powers that affect everything.

The world without matter is described as an environment where there is neither time nor space. It is argued that only material things occupy space and are subject to time for their creation and development. The material universe is cited as the prime example of matter, which also applies to all its components such as our planet and all matter and living creatures on it. Therefore, when a world is not subject to space, it would extend into infinity without boundaries, thus existing everywhere including material things. When not subject to time, it would exist eternally without beginning or end. Based on this description, the world without matter extends to infinity forming a universe in itself without any boundaries. Being irrelevant would be beside the point. Based on the proven existence of “dark energy”, it can be argued that there is such a universe without matter that includes every existing thing, material or otherwise, which is also a source of incredible energy that affects everything material or other. I believe that the universe without matter consists of “pure energy”, which I have named “Super-energy”, with a highly condensed mass and the source of life for everything that exists within the infinite space that forms its core. Thus, it can be properly assumed that as the creator of life within its infinite scope, He must also be highly creative and intelligent. Therefore, it can be properly called the Creator, a completely secular being who is not related to any religion, more like a super-scientist.

The life of everything, especially that of humans, depends on the energy in the universe. Most of the energy on earth comes from the sun. It travels from the sun to the earth in the rays emitted by the sun. Absorption of energy causes plants to produce the food that all animals and humans depend on in order to create energy for their survival. They use the energy found in food to function. The sun’s energy stored in coal, wood and oil is used by people for various purposes. Energy and matter are two fundamental ideas in physics that are not completely separate. Many physicists maintain that energy and matter are simply two aspects of the same thing.

Electricity is closely related to energy and matter. It is actually a fundamental feature of the matter that makes up everything in the universe. (World Book, 2001, Vol. E, p.190) Electricity and magnetism together constitute a force called electromagnetism, one of the fundamental forces of the universe. The electric force is responsible for holding together the atoms and molecules that make up matter. It defines the structure of every object that exists. (Ibid.) On this basis we can ask where the incredible amount of electromagnetic force required to hold together solar systems, galaxies, and the entire universe comes from. A universe without matter, composed of immense energy, seems the only possibility.

As science advances, more and more evidence points to the existence of a universe that is not subject to time or space. It is already helping us achieve extraordinary functions without thinking about its cause. As for timing, look at the posting system. If we write a letter to a friend and send it through the post, depending on the distance, our letter may reach its destination within a week or two or several weeks. Such a destination may be 50-100 or several thousand miles away. If we need to send the same letter to many other individuals, say a wedding invitation, we need to do the same for each invitation card.

In parallel with this, today we have an e-mail system through which we can send the same letter in a short time, regardless of the distance. In fact, we can send the same letter to a million people at the same time with the click of a button. The letters will reach their destination the moment we click the “send” button regardless of the distance. The same will apply if the same e-mail is sent to a thousand addresses spread across the planet covering the surface of the Earth. Since distance and area refer to space, letters will be received at 1,000 addresses spread across the world in the blink of an eye regardless of location or distance. Space becomes immaterial.

In terms of the time element, the fastest our brain can calculate a function through instructions from our mind will take at least a few seconds. When computers were invented, a thousand calculations could be done in one second. Today, a computer can make millions of calculations toward a decision in just one second. In an advanced computer this figure increases to a billion per second. One billionth of a second equals no time. However, there are computers on the way labeled as quantum computers capable of doing a trillion calculations per second. Consequently, scientifically we have been able to eliminate time and space in the communication system and have entered the universe without matter without knowing it.

We can also add the concept of “dark matter”. More than 90 percent of the visible universe consists of the two lightest types of atoms, hydrogen and helium. However, it is argued that apparently most of the matter in the universe is invisible dark matter. It is a substance that has most of the mass of the universe. There is no evidence that dark matter emits, reflects, or absorbs visible light, radio waves, X-rays, or any other type of electromagnetic energy. Observations suggest that dark matter has at least ten times more mass than visible matter. (World Book. 2001, Vol. 5, p.37) Scientists have discovered dark matter only through the influence of its gravitational force on the movements of visible matter. Many scientists believe that dark matter consists of undetected particles. (World Book, 2001, Vol.13,pg.312) This is actually the “immaterial universe”, distinguished from the material and immaterial universes. The immaterial universe embodies the material universe and without matter embodies all. In reality, then, there are three universes of which we know only one, but only a few hints about the other two. As science progresses, other evidence will be discovered, ultimately forcing the scientific community to accept the existence of these three universes without yet knowing the true nature of the other two. This will be a fascinating moment for scientists and an exciting point to move forward into the boundless world of the unknown, where a vast world of knowledge has been waiting for billions of years to be discovered.
