5 Animals of the Business World

My dearest and young friend from Taiwan, always full of amazing surprises, led a team building workshop that I was privileged to attend.

After her TV show in Taiwan as a business psychology coach, she sponsored 17 reps in her first month, breaking records in our new MLM business and making her a new team leader here in Canada.

Kim let me in on an amazing secret used in the professional world of Taiwanese business. There Kim is in high demand to fix billion dollar companies like Toyota during her famous weekend workshops.

While here in North America, we have listened to Network Marketing gurus teach us about different personalities, its magic, its secret that defies our Western logic.

In China, there are five animals representing the business world.

1) Tiger: these are the leaders, the people of action who know their business and what they want. They are the pace setters, trend setters and set the stage for success in the industry.

2) Peacock: These busy people know how to show their colors. Armed with great potential for teamwork, social networking and marketing, they shine best when they can show their amazing colors.

3) OWL: These people are loyal to the extreme. They also know and excel in numbers. They are the irreplaceable problem solvers, predictive advisors and accountants of the business world.

4) Chameleons: Chameleons adapt instantly to any environment. They mix and match really well with anyone, anywhere. Kim says that if you haven’t somehow become a Chameleon by the time you’re 30 – you’re dead in this world. They are quite indirect with tremendous persuasive power.

5) Koala has consistency and predictability. Hidden in the eucalyptus trees they eat all day, these people can work behind the scenes and often make excellent leaders. However change is not always easy and looking outside the box may require outside help.

Kim’s wisdom went beyond that. She said that while we typically demonstrate strengths in one personality type, many of our business associates and network colleagues have developed traits in 2 or 3 of these personality types.

So when you’re recruiting a tiger, GET HER ON THE POINT. Don’t sell it on “why” they might want to see your business opportunity. They are completely independent and need only the tools you provide to pave their way to success. They prefer to solve and solve their problems alone without outside help. Before you know it, you’ll believe in their ability to turn information into profit.

Peacocks are not afraid of risks and like to keep on the move and explore new horizons. They easily get bright new ideas and tend to dominate others with their creativity and originality. Give them the opportunity to show their unique amazing colors where they can impress others with their above average leadership qualities. They can be the marketing guru you follow on you tube, branding themselves well with colorful photos and impressive links to draw your attention to them.

Owls are so loyal and good with numbers that you’ll only want them on your team, period – end of story! Build their confidence and trust by showing them the numbers IMMEDIATELY. This is all they will base their decision on. If they ask to be shown the computer plan, get the numbers right away! They are very success oriented and unwavering in their determination. Persistence pays!

Chameleons are perceptive, adaptable and can be very influential. Remember with Chameleons, as they first find their role and place online, they need to tap into the resources and talents of other marketers in order to brand themselves. Create a solid network marketing atmosphere for them, loaded with hand-shaking mentors, plenty of training resources, and the best networking sites they can hang out and call home. However, the main thing is not to let them rely too much on others for support or they may not achieve their goals.

A business team made up mostly of Koala bears could use a little spice and liven-up. Their responsible, disciplined and methodical way can organize and run any business. They make excellent managers and will build sustainable home businesses. They are wise and careful, but their overly conservative nature, lack of imagination, over-protection of their interests and unadventurous outlook on life can lead to stagnation.

Kim taught me to always adjust my training and relationship building to meet each individual’s personality and needs. This information on the personality traits of these 5 animals is made available for the first time here in North America now in this article.
